52 ~ A Friend In Time Of Need

By Kay Heitsch

Since I wasn't exactly young, I thought I should try to keep in shape while I was pregnant. I joined an exercise class for pregnant moms.
I also joined a natural childbirth class. I was not planning on putting this one into practice, but I figured it would help me relax more. Bill was working a lot, so when he couldn't go, Todd went with me to the class.
My Dad's poor lifestyle was catching up to him. He started to have some serious health problems. Since my Mom had already died, I was driving to Michigan from Ohio whenever he needed me. Being pregnant, I knew where all the rest areas were on the way.
My Dad and I were blessed to have a wonderful friend, Neil, who checked on Dad often. Neil would call and give me updates. I sure appreciated that.
I praise God that Dad and I had Neil in our lives. He sure helped relieve some of the stress with my Dad while I was pregnant.
"Write down for the coming generation what the Lord has done, so that people not yet born will praise Him." Psalm 102:18
