Doctor J. started having me come to the hospital so the residents and nurses could observe my progress. Brandon was trying to get into position, and his movements were very active.
Dr. J. decided she couldn't wait any longer for Brandon to turn, so she decided to take him by C-section. Dr. J. was concerned that he was going to have neck damage.
The morning of the C-section, my water broke, so Brandon was born on the day he was supposed to.
I had an epidermal so I was awake and watched Brandon being born. He weighed almost 9 pounds. Quite large for my size.
Watching the C-section was very interesting. Dr. J. was about my size, and she had to stand on a stool during the C-section. Bill took pictures of the whole process.
Evidently, they gave me something for pain afterwards. I couldn't stand it, so I refused any pain meds.
When Dr. J. came into my room the next day, I had taken off the hospital gown and was wearing what I had brought.
Since I had been instructed to remove all fingernail and toenail polish before the C-section, I was sitting up, painting my fingernails and toenails, when Dr. J walked in. She was surprised and couldn't believe I had refused all pain medication.
I praise God that Brandon was born healthy. Also, that I had a high pain tolerance and didn't need to take any medication.
"Write down for the coming generation what the Lord has done, so that people not yet born will praise Him." Psalm 102:18
